I always say that my journey in the aviation industry has been more than what meets

the eye; it was not all like a fairy tale story where everything happened in the blink of an

eye.

It all started with a passion, a passion for aviation...
 

From an early age, I’ve always been thrilled by those machines that grace our skies. I

remember roughly at the age of seven telling my mother that I wanted to be a pilot

when I grow up. With an exquisite smile, she patted me on the shoulder and invigorated

my desire with these loving words “you can be whatever you decide to be my son...but

you must work hard to achieve it”.

At the mere age of fifteen I decided that it was time to get involved directly in the

aviation industry. So, I took up my first job as an aircraft attendant working with a helicopter company. The job was mainly cleaning the aircraft and ensuring that it was in a pristine condition at all times for serving our VIP clients.

As my passion to fly became stronger, I knew that the only way to make it to my ultimate goal was to raise my worth. Thus, I made it known to my superiors that I wanted to fly and I am willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish my goal.

A year after having graduated from the University of Seychelles, I got the greatest

news of my life: I was selected as the first candidate in the company’s history to undergo

a helicopter pilot course in South Africa which I’m currently undertaking.
